Great to meet @anna4greenmayor.bsky.social, the Green Party’s candidate for next year’s Hampshire & Isle of Wight mayoral election last night along with loads of new members in Winchester!

Anna is clearly passionate about public transport and is supportive of our campaign to reinstate the 61 bus.

Very pleased this consultation has started and that residents of Twyford have an opportunity to provide their feedback.

🚍 Fantastic turnout for our Bus User Campaign launch!

A packed room and plenty joining online, everyone united in the fight to bring back the 61 bus service! 🚌

Great day in Winchester today at the Peace Vigil for Palestine, dressed in red to signify the red line crossed after the UN recognised Israel’s actions as genocide, then at Winchester Green Fair signifying the start of Green Week

Disappointing update on the 61 bus service we had been trying to save. My statement and that of Colden Common Parish Council captured in the screenshots below 👇

At my first full council meeting last week, I expressed full support for twinning Winchester with the Ukrainian city of Nizhyn, and also spoke about the devastating humanitarian situation in Gaza, suggesting we explore similar acts of solidarity with Palestine

Eighth week in a row for the Winchester Peace Vigil for Palestine at the Buttercross. Great effort today considering the heat. Same again next Saturday at 12 pm.

Thoroughly enjoyed walking Nick Goddard's proposed Itchen corridor cycle route between Hockley Link and Kiln Lane with him and others last week. Would be amazing if this was to come to pass one day but under no illusions just how challenging that will be to bring about.

Glad to have joined the Peace Vigil for Palestine in Winchester last weekend and hope to be there again this Saturday 12 noon at the Buttercross. All who wish to see an end to the violence are welcome.

Out and about at a sunny Sunningdale Mobile Home Park in Colden Common with the bus survey. Eastleigh is the nearest town from here so it’s absolutely vital that it remains easily accessible by bus.

Out and about around Avondale Mobile Home Park with the bus survey today. Lots of interest and all who completed the survey adamant any new route should stop on the main road outside the Park.

Good to be back in Glen Park promoting the bus survey that has gone live. Local residents can access the survey here: forms.office.com/Pages/Respon...

Many things I have learnt from Cllr Sue Cook, not least sometimes it’s better to get on and resolve resident’s issues yourself - in this case a bit of nettle trimming alongside the river

Massive thanks to Richard Needham and all those across Colden Common and Twyford for putting up loads of Vote Green placards during the campaign - massively important in instilling voter confidence

Great afternoon with my sister and our families at Twyford Waterworks. Open again on Bank Holiday Monday and well worth a visit!
