GWLRA made $$ by renting our pool to a for-profit swim franchise for almost 2 yrs, opening it to the general public. Tenants’ concerns about pool maintenance were dismissed.

By March 2025, TPH reminded GWLRA that our pool is a “Class B” pool that does *NOT* meet standards for general public use.

The ON Libs said their plan would be to “phase in” rent control, similar to how Manitoba does it. But that could mean a new building (like the 2 in our community) still wouldn’t have any rent control for *many years.*

FWIW, here’s what “phased-in” looks like in MB:
