What do we do in light of the destruction in Lahaina? As scientists, solutions are couched as policies and technologies. Yes, and let’s deeply consider mutual aid. “Mutual aid projects expose the reality that people do not have what they need and propose that we can address this injustice together.”

Who doesn’t love starting a new journal? My favorite journal system queries my intentions as I begin. So, hello BlueSky. My intention is to participate in networks of inquiry, compassion, and integrity as we navigate the climate emergency with its roots in colonialism and racism.
