Every blue state needs to follow suit. The ridiculously ineffectual and pathetic dems have let republicans get away with cheating for decades, and what's happening now is the result. No more playing by the old rules!

I do think American politics has been corrupted by consumerism and toxic individualism. Withholding our vote unless we have been properly marketed to and courted is not how this is supposed to work. Voting is our civic duty. Defending our democracy is our civic duty as American citizens.
People need to stop seeing themselves as consumers who need to be courted and see themselves as citizens who govern a country. Your vote isn't a gift to a politician; it's your voice and choice for the kind of society you want to live in. Someone will be president. Use your power or lose it.
