This is a wonderful audiobook for anyone looking for cozy, historical crime with a bit of teeth.
Bookish ebook and audiobook can also be found on Apple Books! Audiobook is only $9.99, which is CHEAP compared to the other places I looked...

I’m considering pitching an article on how authors may be altering their own writing styles to avoid accusations of using generative AI. For example, AI tends to overuse em dashes, write really long sentences, and list things in threes. Are you changing your styles or your sentences because of this?

Say three positive things about your writing:

1) I need some creativity to balance out various forms of soul-sucking energy.
2) I enjoy screaming into the void.
3) I have met some really wonderful writers after I started getting serious about this who give me hope.
Say three positive things about your writing:

1) I feel most creatively expressive when I throw the genre boundaries in the bin

2. The found family (like the lovely Emma I'm quoting now)

3. I get in character a lot, and I think dialogue is one of my main strengths... especially in Salmonweird
Say three positive things about your writing:

1) It lets me enjoy horror the way I want to, and hopefully, the readers do too.
2) It's helping me better understand how I am and who I want to be as a writer.
3) I've made another family because of writing 🥹.

Your turn.

LF Howard, psychological and snarky horror from a woman’s perspective. Three word obituary: She went there. #Horrorwriterschat
Yoohoo, it's me! I am back. #HorrorWritersChat question 1:

Right, this is the ice breaker round. Tell us about yourself and don't forget to include the hashtag.

NO LINKS. We have an outro for that stuff, and nobody has the time to click it in question, or go to your bio to look you up.

I have a question. I have zero graphic arts abilities and have used AI to make my image (black and white head). Given how much the creative community hates AI is that offputting? I want something other than a photo of me, so I’m limited to AI or a stock image.

LF Howard, psychological horror, and I’m interested in exploring more from the monster’s POV. I still believe in the closet monster. Bad things will happen if you go to bed with the closet open.
Ok here we go #HorrorWritersChat, are you ready? I'm not. I don't even have my cup of tea ready, but the campfire is lit, so gather around.

Who be you, what do you write, and which campfire/ghost story/urban myth scared you silly as a kid?

No links plizz. These come at the end.

One of us! One of us!
People seem to get weirded out when I take my marionette to the dog park to play, but they should really put up a sign with a crossed out marionette if they don't want us there. Maybe people are upset because the marionette doesn't have any strings and has glowing eyes and whispers their secrets?
