Is there any estimate of how much time we’re wasting as a country on Trump admin moves and comments that are utter fucking nonsense? I am thinking of things like this Coast Guard swastika nonsense, the Comey trial nonsense, etc. I am not criticizing opposition to nonsense or legitimate policy moves.

It’s wild that people take Nvidia’s profit announcement as an indication that it’s not a bubble. They’re the ones making and selling the bubble gum, of course they are profiting when loads of companies jump into bubble blowing. If those companies show profits soar it will be news.

What is the most comprehensive summary of corruption allegation in the Trump administration? It’s hard to keep these cases all in mind.

There are now dozens of stunning, stupefying examples of corruption, sadism, and incompetence of the Trump administration each day. Yet Trump sitting in the Oval Office and basically trivializing the Khashoggi murder because “things happen” still made me gasp.

Hating the government is not the same as hating the country. In 2025 America they are almost opposites.

This is the first time I wasn’t appalled by Josh Hawley, so maybe I am overreacting in a positive way now, but it was great to see a prominent Republican giving such a full throated defense of Medicaid. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/12/o...

I have been thinking a lot about the evil synergies between Trump, Project 2025, and Musk. I really think that any one or two of them would have had a fraction of the catastrophic impact that they have had together. Hopefully it will also accelerate the collapse of their efforts
