To be fair, I highly doubt Vic would have let Howie draft him. I honestly think Howie and the staff still often draft or sign defensive players that fit the Schwartz mold more than Fangio mold

I think it would be an excellent change up. Against a OC like Johnson with a young QB throwing such a change up out there would be helpful. All three LBs are excellent blitzers too

I think a more creative coaching staff could still get a high level of production out of him. I still blame KP, Sirrani and this staff for the much of issues on offense. Putting Brown in the slot for instance

I also think AJ’s size with age and injuries are causing him to lose explosiveness. Even if his weigh is muscle mass, it’s still mass and adds stress to his joints

From what I’ve come to understand. This is Nick’s offense, plays etc but Kellen/Shane last year knew how to sequence and call plays to make it work. I feel like Loeffler would be a major upgrade at this point

What surprises me is that Lurie hasn’t pressed for change. He’s not an aloof millionaire owner who isn’t involved and doesn’t know the game. I can’t see how he’s happy with this product on offense right now. Really hoping to see news of an outside advisor being brought in, Patullo needs it
