i love realistic fiction ocs! although this one sounds tough, i could name someone(s) i know who's like this but there's always some pain around identity, self-love, being cared for or having to depend on others, etc etc

I learned a ton about Blender constraints and had to learn a bit about animation curves too. This is the kind of stuff I want to be comfortable with before doing the main series.

you can do low/mid poly versions of those that look like the games without much overhead, blender starts to lag when you do stuff like generation and physics calculations, which there are ways around, but for rigging + rendering characters, shouldn't be too bad

my autosave didn't work in older versions of blender even though all my stuff is on the C: drive, i found my autosaves in 4.3 now but it's quite infrequent so i'll probably need to change that somewhere too

i will never understand why windows forces updates that breaks your workflow, like whyyyy 😭

i'm more used to photoshop than gimp but open source stuff is alluring since i actually know how to code

bro pretty please share your GIMP skills or videos you watched i'm serious GIMP seems nice to use but it's hard for me to get around and it sucked back in 2008 when i was a kid lol

i'll tell you this is a 4.0 thing. i had a lot of troubles in 4.0 that it took me 2 weeks till i folded and got 4.3 lol. 4.0 is more compatible with older versions but it still crashes like a house of cards. i have 4.3 then 4.0 for old imports. i think 4.4 is even more stable now and 4.2 is LTS :)

- in blender 4.3, the texture and sculpt brushes have been overhauled, you'll lose custom brushes in old projects
- picture 1 = new rendering settings you can tweak one by one, including performance ones!
- use mirror modifier as long as you can :)
- shader nodes + grease pencil = classic 2D looks 😀
