i've been in college grinding out finals so yeah i haven't made much progress on my lil animation but i'm writing a pilot :) so hopefully i can show off some footage after i start that :)

bruh it's not fun having to learn 2D animation all over again because you haven't animated in 2D since 2019 and you put all your skill points into 3D animation for 3 years and nothing you make now in 2D looks good enough aaaaaaaaaaaa

modeling fire in #blender using videos instead of simulations or geometry nodes looks nice but takes a lot of fiddling to get right

diverse artists are important because yeah racism is an important topic but i just want to see a girl boss that looks like me without having to mention oppression by default, like i'm trying to ESCAPE that reality not constantly be reminded of it 😭😭 it's NOT our only trauma 💀

update: i've textured and rigged him :) while i'm waiting for feedback from peeps in real life, i'm going to give him shapekeys 👍🏾🙌🏾 i'm getting faster at modeling, from 3 weeks to like 3 days, next model i'm timing myself because i have a LOT to go!

Ok, so corrective smooth. We love it, best modifier ever, makes all deforms instantly better. When doing cloth simulation, you want to disable your normal corrective smooth, and place a copy of it AFTER the cloth sim.

i love weaving chaos into my art. most of the stuff i do is like a sort of calculated accident. toss a couple things i know into an engine or on a page and connect the dots until something fathomable comes out. experimenting turned final. modern day magic.

practiced animating some expressions for my #oc. will probably redo the "no" expression because his face looks devious when he's supposed to look nervous lol. i'll fix the clipping later too. i'm kinda proud of this small practice :)
