If there is ONE card I am kind of scared post ban that do silly shenanigans with cauldron....while not Vivi silly....I am a teeny scared of Katara under a Cauldron....

With that...I do think a "lesson matter" deck can be a legit thing...and it's just by this card alone honestly. Two mana draw three is nothing to take for granted.

Fine, I add this to the watchlist as well still but tbh the combos you can do with this card now is not as back breaking as the Vivi Combo.

I guess with the B&R announcement. Here my take with regards to standard atm.

Vivi: Thank heavens. This card was a tad obnoxious with the cauldron combo but also was a very strong card in izzet prowess decks in general. The decks with the card in it were overall hard to interact with. Glad they did the right call and hit this rather then cauldron. Screaming Nemesis: A pretty good call as well. While the card was not the most broken card…..it was a really unfun card tbh. Hard to interact with properly for some colors and the fact burn players can just burn their nemesis to get the damage trigger made it tricky for some midrange/ramp decks to get off the ground at times. Glad to see it go. Profit’s Eidetic Memory Another strong card for izzet prowess decks….this honestly was a smart choice for a ban. While not the silliest card now with Vivi cauldron gone, it was still a pretty problematic card especially with all the card draw engines we have and will get in standard. It would just be nice for a izzet deck not to be the top dog (in theory) with this ban. We'll see.

Never ever take for granted a card that can let you cheat a creature into play. You not doing silly stuff with this persay, but, it is a very strong card. Don't sleep on this.
Jet, Rebel Leader {3}{W} Legendary Creature — Human Rebel Ally Whenever Jet attacks, look at the top five cards of your library. You may put a creature card with mana value 3 or less from among them onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. It's a build around, but, with the proper cost reduction spells as well as some powerful etb triggers...you can do some gnarly stuff with this card. At the very least, it's a solid protection card for ya other creatures.

Overall, just a solid lord for warrior deck designs. I don't if I would make her a commander, but, in the 99 of some warrior kindred decks, this is just perfect.

Giving creature spells flash is a strong effect and can also net you card draw. This is just pretty good, especially for tempo deck designs.

A solid token generator in spirit deck designs as well as a card to mana sink flicker to get the trigger again. Not too silly, but, can be a strong card in spirit kindred decks that rely on etb triggers.

Never take for granted card draw engines, especially if you can lean into the lesson package. Though, a looting engine is also nice for some reanimator deck designs as well.
