I have known, worked with and admired Si Lazarus since our shared days in the Carter WH. He is a brilliant policy analyst, but also one with a keen eye for politics—-which he demonstrates in this excellent piece in The New Republic.

Not that my views mean squat, but I think history will judge AG Merrick Garland as a chicken shit failure. Jack Smith won’t say it, but he knows it. Biden should fire Garland right now to express his displeasure.
