Saw a post about memorizing Japanese kanji by making stories out of what the characters look like, and does that really work for people? How is that easier than just memorizing the radicals? Are you sitting in the JLPT N1 exam like “the milkman talks to the cat and fried the fish.” 🤣

Happy Thanksgiving at Bubby’s! Turkey and sweet potato casserole were great, the kale salad was an interesting choice I could do without. Could use mashed taters and Mac n cheese! 7/10

Why does it seem like some kind of food recall like E.Coli. happens every day in the US but here in Japan it never(?) happens? Is food quality assurance non-existent in the US? Do they feed them too many cow brains? 😅

Also would like to disable media showing (e.g. pictures). That can save bandwidth on mobile and also "oops" moments when I'm on the train.

The ole Twitter app now just loads ads right in the middle of the timeline randomly, and almost right before I click on a post. They aren’t doing a good job of adding features to keep me using it. 🤦♂️
