"Most recently, a film I produced and edited, American Exile, won the Ruben Salazar Journalism Award. Salazar, for which the award, is named was a civil rights activist and journalist who was killed by a sheriff as he was reporting on the anti-Vietnam War Chicano Moratorium March in 1970."

We’ll meet in the Ford Field Park South Parking Lot on Monroe St. at 11am.

The hike will take 45-60 minutes round trip. We could see light rain, so dress appropriately. Afterwards folks could attend the No Kings protest at the Henry Ford Public Library on Michigan Ave at 1pm.
