We will not give up our willingness to fight for a common Europe of democratic states! The Western Balkans, Ukraine and Moldova are part of it! But they must intensify their reform efforts - in spite of war, conflicts and low economic growth!

Männer und Frauen aus Österreich haben nach dem Friedensabkommen in Dayton geholfen Frieden und Stabilität herzustellen! Nun hilft Österreich beim schwierigen und langen Weg in Richtung EU - aber Bosnien-Herzegowina muss den Weg auch gehen wollen!
Auch und gerade nach Hamas Terror und Tötung und Zerstörung in Gaza durch exzessive israelische Gewalt braucht es einen Neuanfang wofür „Standing Together“ ein mutiges Zeichen setzt!

Enlargement of EU is higher on the priority list of EU today! But still the necessary reforms have not been done in EU and not by accession candidates.

Democracy is on the agenda also at the Belgrade Security Conference - which is also supported by IIP Vienna! We are particularly supporting the meeting of Young Leaders who are fighting for democratic values in the Western Balkans!

Denmark has achieved a 90% support for EU - due to war against Ukraine and election of Trump! This is a strong asset for the Danish presidency for dealing with defence, green transition and competitiveness!

We need still many steps towards a more sustainable world! The Venice Biennale shows some proposals, but we have to deal with political, social, economic conflicts! To build better with more care and learning from the best examples is necessary!

Interesting discussion at iipvienna.com on Latin America especially on peace processes in Colombia and Peru! These processes brought advantages but the countries are still far away from stopping killings, creating more equality and new conflicts were developing!

Vom Krieg zum Frieden! Die Kulturhauptstadt Gorizia/Nova Goriza und das Isonzo/Soca Tal mit den Kriegsmonumenten erinnern uns an Krieg und Verschleppungen und zeigen uns aber auch den Weg zum Frieden!
We had an inspiring discussion on protest movements in the Western Balkans and esp.Serbia but also beyond ( Georgia, Turkiye) at IIP. One can only admire all the people who are ready to accept sacrifices in order to achieve democracy, transparency and accountability by state authorities!
