A fine debut for Jorge Sampaoli at Roazhon Park.

Having beaten Saint-Etienne (5-0), who were reduced to 10 men in the 37th minute, his Stade Rennais are back on the winning track.

A welcome victory for the Bretons, who are moving away from the red zone, having won just 3 of their last 10 games.

Corentin Tolisso is off to a superb start to the season. Leader of OL's midfield and one of the best player in Ligue 1, he scored again - and in such a way! - tonight to break the deadlock in a difficult situation. A momentum that could well reopen the doors to the French national team next March.

So we had to wait five matchdays for Stade Brestois to concede their 1st ever defeat in the Champions League.

A clean defeat at the hands of one of the competition's big favourites will not make us forget the Breton club's exceptional, almost unreal campaign. The road to the play-offs continues.

It may be hard to believe but, at the moment, PSG is out of the Champions League - especially as some of the matches will be held tomorrow.

With three games remaining in the league phase, Luis Enrique's men have no choice but to perform against Red Bull Salzburg, Manchester City and VfB Stuttgart.

"With Marseille, it's very clear: something has been signed! There will be a return to the club. I want to help, be useful and continue to help OM grow”, he told L’Équipe.

From Ligue 2 in 2018/19 to a clash with FC Barcelona in Champions League six years later, the story of Stade Brestois is one of the most beautiful in French football history. What a journey it has been.

While he is already one of Ligue 1's greatest talents, we shouldn't be afraid to say that he is also one of Europe's elite. A player at the opposite end of the spectrum from a football that has become robotic, but who still needs to prove himself over time. Until then, just enjoy his genius.
