Not BS to folks who lost their jobs, grants, lives.

This is even worse than I imagined. I’d imagined these were being handed out by a flawed algorithm. Somehow it instead being an inexperienced couple with no knowledge or regard for the topics makes it even more sinister.

Not just propaganda. They are canceling grants of all types, based on the thinnest of excuses for why they are not consistent with agency priorities. At least 8 now in our division- so far. This is cold blooded murder of the US scientific enterprise.

Not just NSF. I am aware of 8 NIH grant cancellations in our division. 2 more came today. The last two were focused on chronic conditions. Their sin was that the word ‘diversity’ appeared in the RFA title.

Thank you for doing *something* for this man and his family. In so doing, you have proven that indeed something could be done.
