Good morning this is a casual reminder that if you are able to make a donation of money to your local food bank they will be able to multiply that money immensely more than you making a food donation. My local food bank can get about 6x more out of a dollar than me!

OH! And look into lentils! They're high in protein and very filling as well! Just be sure to check the ingredients, because they might be processed in facilities that also process wheat ingredients. I get my lentils at Aldi and they are gluten free!

For those affected by the current SNAP situation, but can't eat gluten, I'd like to throw in the very tasty option of Congee. It's a rice porridge dish that's saved me so many times when I've been short on cash, and is SO easy to make and goes a long way.
