You absolutely need to play it! Triangle Strategy is legit one of my favorite games of all time. Just don't obsess too much about getting the best ending on your first playthrough. Trust me: the game is absolutely meant to be replayed multiple times before you try for the ideal outcome.

The animals also tend to be an excuse for me to slip in shameless mythology references. Like skoha wolves; canines whose males are diurnal and females are nocturnal. If you get the reference, you get a brownie.

There are some who ride atop flying beasts, though: wyverns, griffons, and impundulu (giant birds with stormy grey feathers.) Naturally, this usually requires a great deal of trust between mount and rider.

Pou has only just begun utilizing sparkpowder weapons. Firearms and cannons are still relatively new for most of the population, so most Pounese warriors still prefer traditional weapons...
