The people of Theryl were created by its deities. The Divines actually debated back-and-forth with each other a lot when trying to create the first mortals, arguing about things like how many limbs they should have or where organs should be located...

Spice and Wolf. I know it got a reboot, but I'm still bitter that the OG ended abruptly.

Technology in science in Theryl vary great per region and country, but the most advanced in that regard is definitely Vienta, which keeps much of its advancements out of foreign hands (or tries to.)
Today's Q: Can anyone in your world participate in scientific research? Or is it reserved for elites?

Honestly, I think the wildlife of Theryl is probably the best example of this. I've added a lot of fantastical beasts over the years, and while some do serve a purpose top the worldbuilding, others are just there because I think they're neat.

What methods of transportation do your characters usually use to get around?
Horses, ships (water, space, air), cars, walking, other?
Does transportation ever cause your characters difficulty?

That's a little tricky because the Seeker Saga takes place across years or even decades, so for simplicity's sake, I'll just list an even that happened in the last twenty years starting from Fateseekers (as it is the most recent book in the timeline right now.)

What is something your character always carries with them?
In a purse, a bag, a secret pouch, a pocket?
Is there something they never travel without? Why?

There are many legendary events to speak of in Theryl, but perhaps one of the most notable happened millennia ago in the land that would come be known as Hol. In the early days of the world, the Divines themselves were said to participate more directly in it.

The queendom of Dhesa chooses its monarch not based on bloodline, but rather, by choosing women who are believed to embody the qualities of a saint. The Holy Church is responsible for deciding not only applicants, but also who among them is worthy.

Oh, there are quite a few to choose from in Theryl's history... But I suppose one of the most notable would be the War of Dominion. This was a conflict between Elux and Urgaia, in which Urgaia attempted to expand its reach westward into Eluxan territory.

I don't use Gen AI in my writing and never will.
I don't use Gen AI for illustration and never will.
I won't willingly or knowingly use Gen AI at all.
I write because I love it.
I pay indie artists because they deserve the work and the credit.
Gen AI is not art.

I think Adelle, protagonist of Prideseeker, might be the best example of this. Her father is something of a national hero, having won a seemingly impossible battle and preventing what could have otherwise been a years-long war.

There are two of note I want to talk about. The first is Rose Regnus, the founder of the kingdom of Elux. He united the people of the plains with the dream of one day building the 'ideal nation,' though many debate what that truly meant to him...

Oh there are a few, but the most notable would definitely be the ancient Pounese civilization featured in Fateseekers. There are ruins of ancient cities all over the islands, built by those who first crossed the ocean to settle there.
