Just found out NIH has officially canceled our grant, a longitudinal study of Alzheimer's disease in Black Americans. I cannot even put into words how angry I am. The truth is they are canceling it because it has Black in the title. That's it, there is no other reason to do this.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.
18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

I have been watching A LOT of #Taskmaster lately and I have been thinking about who would make good hosts for a second shot at a US version. Conan O'Brien and Matt Gorley would make a good combo. Tig Notaro would make a good assistant as might Todd Glass.

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS or other (non-LCH) dendritic or histiocytic sarcomas cases.

Hey folks if you got the most recent iOS update, it’s real simple to turn off Apple Intelligence (which has been toggled on by default in hopes you’ll just go with it)
Right there in settings you have “Apple Intelligence & Siri” with a toggle just for AI
