It's Thanksgiving day in Mississippi and the pups have sweaters on. (The one on the left is a shelter "potential". She's on probation for 2 more weeks. Might keep, not sure.) The one on the right is my LIFE. She turns 9 this year. (The visitor is 5.)

Me & Dog went for a hike at Roosevelt SP on Halloween day. This giant monster thing was near the trail entrance. The exit had 2 gigantic werewolf eletronic dog things. I was amazed my Beagle/Lab mix trotted right up to those giant scary monster dogs! Would've scared my old dog!

A nice fresh little clump of Pleurotus (oyster) on a log across the creek. They smelled nice too. I did not harvest them.

Gave up on finding boondocking. Drove all the way back to the free campground. Hiked in creek. These limestone "dragon scales" are slick as black ice! Very dangerous, good way to break a leg out there. But nice deep holes to cool off in the creek at limestone ledges.

Sure looks like cincinnatus to me. Is the underside bright yellow? Because the trim looks white in the photo. I love L.c. Tried sulphureus before & didn't like it, too spongy for me. One of our great finds a few years ago. There is a certain spot where it recurs over the years. :)
