I urge everyone to write to their MP (particularly if they’re Labour but even if they aren’t) highlighting Musk’s attacks on UK democracy, incitement of hatred and civil unrest.

Encourage them to take urgent and meaningful action, up to and including legal sanctions and blocking X/Twitter.

Three facts which nothing and no-one will shake me from repeating.

elon musk is a Nazi apologist, fascist supporter and racist bigot.

donald trump is a narcissistic cry-baby wannabe Hitler with none of that charm or warmth.

The oligarchs and media now kissing their rings are craven cowards.

It's chicken and egg, isn't it? Would Reform be in this position if the media had not given them disproportionate attention to start with, compared to other opposition parties? And also failed to challenge them?

The problem is less how much media covers reform, more that it covers them on THEIR terms.

It’s about Muslims & boats & boats & boats.

Never ever are they challenged on their desire to scrap the NHS or their economic policy (or lack thereof).
That’s why they benefit from disproportionate coverage.

No, Beth. The media are to blame for the rise of fascism. Simply put, they're better at it than you are. Fascists have won just by being on TV. They don't do interviews to discuss the truth. They do them to get their message across. They've studied your format, and they know how to manipulate it.
Have had a bit of criticism here from those who say me/broadcasters giving Reform too much coverage. Read the article I wrote. The point is, Reform is challenging Tories & becoming the (bigger) vessel compared to other parties w voters disillusioned in politics. How this plays out critical 2 next GE
Reform just 1pp behind Lab, acc to YouGov poll for @SkyNews & pushed Tories into 3rd place

- Lab 26% (35% in GE)
- Reform UK 25% (15%)
- Cons 22% (24%)
- Lib Dem 14% (13%)
- Greens 8% (7%)

Hi @uklabour.bsky.social

Perhaps if you had a leveson 2 and changed the blatantly corrupted media landscape you wouldn’t have to worry about blatant RW lies and propaganda, no?

Perhaps you could then stop pandering to ruinous RW politics.

Too simple or are you too inept?

Twitter wasn’t built in a day. But now that there is a reasonable sized community here at BlueSky, the next step is to convince freelance and news media to report and post here. Preferably here first.

-And also engage international communities and reporting here.
It's clear now that social media is a failure. There is very little "Social" about it.

We need to remove ourselves from this bullshit game played by billionaires with nefarious agendas for us.

This place had hope, but it doesn't have the traction on a global scale to make it meaningful.
