My little hamlet of Pennington NJ did me proud today. An incredible turnout in the pouring rain. My 5 year olds and I hung in for 30 min, waving our signs and making our voices heard....#NoKings

Kinda crazy how no one initially suspected a cybertruck exploding into flames as being intentional because everyone who saw it was like "yeah, they do that sometimes."

Trump’s first term was a study in the capitulation of the Republican Party and conservative movement. Apparently Trump’s second term will be a study in the capitulation of…everyone else.

BIPARTISAN! Wow. Truly a great day for America. We'll enjoy that for the next few weeks until we all go bankrupt and start dying from previously eradicated diseases as the GOP loots the Federal Reserve, Die Hard 3 style! Thanks, Amy!
My bipartisan legislation to recognize the Bald Eagle as our national bird just passed Congress and is now headed to the President’s desk to be signed into law! 🦅

This is what my blue state public school district put up at parents' orientation in Sept. God, I hope Trump's malevolence and Linda McMahon (whom NO ONE is fighting like his other appointments- because WHY?) doesn't infect our states, because this is everything and why I love my kids' school:

Oh yay, FINALLY a White Male Opinion (tm) on "identity politics." Thank GOD you're on the scene, @theatlantic.com - however else would we get such erudition?
Most Americans agree racism and sexism are problems. Yet identity politics were not salient enough to swing the election, writes Conor Friedersdorf. “If Democrats renounce identitarian stereotyping and discrimination,” their coalition and America will benefit:

Also, Dems being "too far left" is what led to their loss in 2024 is utterly RISIBLE. The party was so forking moderate that LIZ CHENEY was a keynote speaker at the DNC. GMAFB with this shit.
No doubt generational changes in leadership are important & necessary at appropriate time.

But this choice isn't only abt generational change, it is abt ideological. AOC is too far left, which contributed to 2024 Democrat loss. That requires reflection, not reward.

We need politics to moderate.

Bc everything Dems are doing has been working so well. How bout we reckon w the fact that most GenZ (& Y) get their political "news" from TikTok & other social media and bring in a generation of telegenic young leaders who can reach them? Or yeah, keep f*cking the dead chicken, that's a choice too.

She literally did an entire breakdown of the relatively high number of Trump voters that voted for her. It's not some issue of triangulation but actually about aesthetic and populist policies.

For a decade or more now the familiar refrain from people, when asked why they aren’t excited about voting Democrat, has been “I don’t believe they’ll fight for me”.

If you want to turn around the perception that Ds only care about navel-gazing, you promote the best young fighter the party has!
The Democratic leadership and strategic class responsible for the oversight approach that may have lost American democracy organized for this outcome, and presumably have the upper hand in the caucus-wide vote. It’s an outrage. www.axios.com/2024/12/16/a...

Completely ditto.
I’ve been obsessed with trying to figure out how my priors got me convinced that Harris would win. I really think a lot of my miscalculations spring from my being too optimistic. So now I’m trying to factor my excess optimism into my theories. Now I am really really depressed.

So I am clear, many ppl would prefer a dead child over an autistic one? (And NO, I don't believe vaccines cause autism, I'm just following their logic). Before, when the desire was opt-out of regulation, you cld say, ah they just want to grift on herd immunity. Nope. Turns out, they'd prefer death.
I've seen a child with tetanus, I've treated near fatal infections after chicken pox, and I've pronounced children dead from COVID whose parents refused to have them vaccinated.

We have lost our minds... and are about to lose so many of our precious children.

I know it's a lot to ask of Dem House members but can we promote the young member who talks good and people like? As cool as it is to always replace people with people just like the people they replaced so nothing ever changes, I'd like to win elections and get stuff done at some point.
We can do this. Tomorrow is the day. Do not give up early. Do not be discouraged! A close vote is what we needed here and that’s what we got.

Stay POSITIVE and PRAYERFUL and I will be working.

Don't threaten me with a good time. Also, joke's on you, numbnuts- women can have children without men but the reverse ain't true. So good luck getting your white master race back to demographic dominance by fucking blow up dolls!
