Heard on RN that on Dismissal day, at no point did the angry crowd who’d gathered at Parliament House turn violent - except that just as Fraser was leaving to see the GG, somebody reached in and poured a can of beer through his car window. Not sure it gets more Aussie than that. ❤️ #TheDismissal

Two of the chicks kipping hard yesterday.
3rd photo shows the tree they were in - a lovely old tuckeroo. Photos were taken from the back deck looking into this tree, so you might be able to spot a tawny or two in there if this app doesn’t totally obliterate the res.

Agree Kim, we probably are a bit lucky. Other tawny couples seem to move around more than the pair at our place - they pretty much stay put here all year round.

One of the chicks spent Sunday roosting in our palm tree with a frond in front of him/her - the third pic shows you what I mean. The other photos show the chick looking over, and later on, under the frond that’s in the way. The lighting’s dodgy but you get the general idea. Haha, love it! #birds

Chicks spent yesterday in different spots from each other, with parents sitting together nearby. This chick opted for the neighbour’s old chook house. Looks like a smile but actually just partway through a yawn, hence the bluriness.
And yes, I’m totally obsessed with them. 😂
