Yes, I have 2 heat pumps for space heating and hot water in my house they are not cheap to pay off even with solar panels and NEM 1. Getting California off natural gas is a huge part of what I do at work. I did read the article, and I reiterate that the heavy lifting has barely started.

There's great progress, but we've barely started on the long journey. We will need more than solar & current battery tech to run our future heat pumps and charge our future electric vehicles at night and in winter, let alone AI and bitcoin mining.
