There was a cemetery near my grandparents house we used to walk through. There was a corner full of graves from the fall of 1918 including a family of seven. We asked. My grandmother explained it was the Spanish Flu and it took entire families. I got my flu and covid shots today, by the way.
I once toured Atlanta’s 175-year-old Oakland Cemetery with a friend. Were struck by how many families lost multiple children within days of each other. We realized it was due to the lack of vaccines.

The GOP is now solidly behind the idea that parents should be empowered to make decisions for their children about vaccines. It’s too bad they don’t feel the parents of trans kids should have the same autonomy.
