This looks like a great film, I wonder if it plays at the Northwest Film Forum? @nwfilmforum.bsky.social I can't tell if Film Forum is the same organization as Northwest Film Forum.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wrote a Yelp review for Eckstein. I figured since I wrote so much about it in my book I might as well post a review too.

I just want to know who made that summary for the school that is in the description below? Okay I admit, it's about right.
#YelpReview #EcksteinMiddleSchool #GoodSchool
Eckstein Middle School - Seattle, WA
Specialties: The silliest, goofballest, cheeseballest, outlandishest, most toefull middle school in the United States of America.

This is an early concept I used for the poem "Interare." The idea was to surround the word "are" so that it was inside the confines of the second part of the word. I was afraid the bottom part would read "IareR.

A rough sketch of a title for my poem. The idea was to connect all the characters together so that it would go with the theme of moving up in age. I ended up dropping this concept so I could go with big chunkier type that matched the other titles in my work.

I loved when we did this in horticulture.
Nature journaling, the research suggests, can deliver excellent benefits across grade levels.

Not only can it teach critical thinking skills, but it improves focus and connects students to the outdoors. 🌳

It was fun to visit Eckstein's 75th Anniversary Open House last month. Everyone was able to see the work students were doing inside the classroom environment. The science class was open as well as English, Math, Art. You got to see work like this and get the chance to talk to students and teachers.
Gave a talk about fecal transplants at Eckstein Middle School last month, and I just received a packet of letters & art from students highlighting what they learned. Very optimistic about the next generation 😍💩🔬@isbsci

That voice endues in the hilltop sky
I got there one day – just walked on by
our seminal crossroads crosswalk Kai.

This 3 line stanza I am thinking of using as an intro to a multipart #NarrativePoem. It used to have about 20 lines but I think it works better short.

I've been working on heading graphics for my introduction blurb page for over a year. I didn't expect it to take so long but for some reason the graphic with positive type on the top, negative see through type on bottom messed with my mind a little bit!

I made an update to this poem page with some new free verse on pink. This whole project is organized together by colors that gradually change from page to page. The image I used is for the other poem that has a lot of green in it. There should probably be a photo that displays #pink too.
My site is tied together by gradually changing color themes. There was one section right in the middle that didn't flow, colors abruptly changed and switched to a long section of prose. I remedied that with this one page that transfers a pink section to green. Really excited that everything flows!

"We don’t have separate brains for thinking about big ideas, on the one hand, and keeping ourselves alive on the other. I think this is why humans are the only species on the planet that are able to die for ideas. We can literally starve ourselves to make a moral or historical point."
Teenagers are especially emotional thinkers. The question is: Are their emotions about the *ideas*, or about the *grades*?

When I get in bed, I inventory the day: What did I accomplish? Other than a drawing, sometimes not much. So I remind myself what I DIDN'T do: I didn't exploit, harass, market, proselytize, swindle, argue, waste resources or acquire anything I don't need. Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing.

I like that the idiom can be used in the positive as well. I've never understood the negative connotations with #black as it has so many positive attributes. This must be the origin of the #RollingStonesSong Paint It Black.
