WLP recently joined artists & activists at the Second Global Artivism Convening, resulting in a declaration that called on the governments at #COP30 to commit to a fast & just transition away from fossil fuels, centering intersectional justice.

In 2022, the death of #MahsaAmini sparked a movement that continues to shape Iran & inspire the world.

We closed with a heartfelt session on the future of WLP. After spending a week defining what we have accomplished and the challenges we're now facing, we brainstormed how we want to grow, deepen, and evolve our unique model of transnational feminist partnership.

Our final day began with a powerful session on fundraising & resource mobilization led by Fancy Sinantha, exploring how to secure a feminist future in a world where less than 1% of global aid goes to women’s rights. We named the barriers but also the opportunities.

In the evening, we celebrated 25 years of Partnership with a delicious Moroccan meal accompanied by dancing. The night came to a close as we wished Andrea from WLP Brazil CEPIA a very happy birthday!🎉

We closed with an unforgettable session led by ADFM’s young activists, who participated in a training series on democracy, advocacy, & women’s rights. They launched creative campaigns challenging discriminatory laws under Morocco’s family code.

In the afternoon, Rothna Begum moderated an intergenerational panel featuring two young voices from WLP Morocco ADFM, Meryam and Asmae, Enas from WLP Egypt FWID, and Tolekan from WLP Kyrgyzstan Bir Duino. The group explored how resistance looks across age and context.

On Day 3 of the #TPC2025, we dove into three urgent areas shaping the fight for gender equality: economic empowerment, family law reform, and climate justice, followed by rich intergenerational dialogue and an inspiring youth-led session on feminist advocacy.

In our afternoon regional strategy sessions, we reflected on shared challenges from militarized politics to climate-induced displacement, & we aligned around urgent priorities including economic justice, family law reform, youth empowerment, peace and security, & care.
