This, and they’re *children*. Children don’t care what their friends are, they only care that they’re friends. There was never any danger. It was always a confidence building space.

All they’ve done is tell bullies that it’s okay to pick on someone for what they are.
Note how these awful people are getting exactly the exclusions of children that they demanded and *that still isn’t enough for them*: they demand everyone be delighted about it and kiss their arses for being brilliant.

If you shift from being an inclusive organisation to "oh we're so sorry that the law means* we have to exclude you" then you need to take a long hard look at how inclusive you ever really were. Girl guides, now the WI. Furious.

*It really doesn't

Buy a book.

Any book, it doesn't matter which. The one you've been looking forward to, the one with the title that made you laugh, the weighty award-winner you've been meaning to get to. Whatever.

Treat yourself. Step away from it all. In this time of gross ignorance & madness, read something.

My daughter, earlier, when I told her there would be school today, gesticulating "no, no, no".
Later on when her breakfast was prepared and I called her: got to the kitchen in no time.
Not all "rigidness" in autism is bad.
We all have ours too. Our rituals, ours schedules, our ways to do things...

I don't think I've ever talked on Bluesky about why I hate the Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl.

Don't read any further unless you're prepared for uncomfortable truths about the "Nicest Guy in Rock", and his very substantial body count & subsequent cover-up.

Just a quiet, sad little PSA.

If someone is estranged from their parents, please please don’t give them the ‘but they’re your mum/ dad’

They were their mum / dad when they did the worst imaginable things to their own kids.

It’s not up to the children to make it ok. It’s up to them to live well.

The framing here is limited; language literacy provides many useful functions, including to help reduce conflict. But the diagnosis is not wrong. We are becoming a sad, little isolated island, with ever less meaningful ways of engaging with the world. To reverse this we need investment, not cuts.
Opinion: “More than ever before, we need British diplomats, spies and soldiers to speak the language of our adversaries. We need universities like Nottingham to be pumping out Russian and Mandarin graduates each year, to work across Whitehall.”

Joyce Carol GOAT, honestly, if I was in the receiving end of this, I would have simply passed away.
Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

It features lots of bullies & one of the University's single most dangerous persons as go-to individual

It says "If something is not Right, Speak Up"

Sure, if you speak up, something will go very wrong"

And note that he never rejected what some sneeringly refer to as "idpol". Never came close to throwing minorities under the bus. On the contrary. The affordability agenda came hand in hand with him actively standing up for those principles. He could never have mobilised his base like this otherwise.
Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

It's brilliant and exciting to see Zohran Mamdani elected.
More leaders like him please, and fewer like Cuomo, Schumer and the rest of the oligarch-pleasing, hope-destroying, election-losing, right-centrist political class.

I'm teaching my daughter that we never tiptoe around men's moods and anger. We walk away.
Deal with your bullshit in therapy, so you don't have to pick stupid fights with your girlfriend or wife just to feel better about yourself.

Paracetamol (Tylenol) is one of the most effective and safe painkillers ever discovered. Keep within the recommended dose. Take it in pregnancy if you need to. It has been shown in MANY studies not to cause autism. 🧪
Had toothache today. Took paracetamol. Pain disappeared. I did not become autistic.
