I enjoyed your writing but for myself I did not want to cut all ties when I moved countries from the Seattle area to Stockholm. Of course the people that weren’t healthy fell away but a few key friends have been a life line through the times it’s been a struggle to find local friends.

Please be kind to the immigrants in your community. Learning a new language as an adult is not easy. Having others who are patient and accepting makes it so much easier.

We walked and talked and admired the little buds and flowers popping up all around. And she invited me to come find her the next time I have a babysitter and might want some company. Beautiful.

That sounds totally creepy to me. I still get frustrated with the finger print ID on my phone. Anytime I have sweaty hands - it doesn’t work. But at least you have a back up with the password. But yeah. Voice recognition just seems - hard pass for me.

I attended Camp Jitterbug for many years before moving to Sweden (to be with my now-husband who I met swing dancing). Hope you have a great camp this year!

Thanks for the video. Beautiful creatures! I loved seeing whales from Kitsap area a few times when the whales came into dyes inlet. And there was once or twice when I was on the ferry and whales were beside us and they made an announcement.

The library is an amazing place where you can reserve a quiet room. If it’s close enough to a school - it can be a great quiet and calm spot for a child who struggles to get to school. If children feel safe and loved and connected - they will have an easier time learning.
