People across Canada know that the Liberals’ back door deals with CEOs haven’t made groceries any cheaper.

We need bold responses to price shocks caused by extreme weather and corporate gouging. When will the government act and deliver on a public option for food?

This is your friendly reminder that the Canada Summer Jobs application period ends at midnight on December 11th. Make sure to get your applications in if your organization is hoping to receive funding this year.

Thank you so much @canadianlabour.bsky.social for meeting this week to discuss priorities for upholding workers’ rights in Canada, such as repealing Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code and ending attacks on the right to strike. (1/2)

WestJet's arbitrary weight restrictions violate the rights of people who use wheelchairs to travel safely in Canada. When will this government close the loopholes in the Accessible Canada Act, uphold disability rights, and hold airline executives accountable when they violate these rights?

Were you appalled when Air Canada flight attendants were sent back to unpaid work after less than 12 hours of striking? So were we.

Sign our petition and join @canadianlabour.bsky.social and the @ndp.ca's call to support my bill and repeal Section 107 from the Canada Labour Code.

Tomorrow is the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence; a time to reaffirm our commitment to upholding the safety of women and gender-diverse people.

We need action, not just words. #16Days

A lovely week spent in the centre of the universe, otherwise known as Winnipeg Centre! I always have the best time connecting with constituents and advocates in my community

Thank you to the Wolseley Residents’ Association for inviting me to discuss how we can build a beautiful, stronger #WinnipegCentre while working together to address safety issues. It feels good to be back in Ottawa pushing for a public health response that keeps everyone safe. #CommunityAtTheCentre

I had a blast with my friends at Eadha Co-Op last week chatting, sharing food with our community and dreaming of more humane community spaces like this one.

Eadha Bakery is a worker co-op. I love this bakery, especially because Eadha has rooted their business practices in human rights and dignity.

I joined many constituents this morning outside of the Minto Armoury to honour veterans. Let us honour them through committing to peace.

I recommit to ensuring that all veterans that call Winnipeg Centre home are treated with the dignity, love and respect they deserve.

This afternoon I met with Sister Laura Vicuña Pereira Manso, an Indigenous land defender from Brazil, in my constituency office to talk about the shared experiences of Indigenous peoples across the world with harmful systems of colonialism, misogyny and deterioration of our rights.

Indigenous Veterans Day was established in Winnipeg more than twenty years ago to honour the service of Indigenous veterans who made great sacrifices but were denied the same care, and respect as non-Indigenous veterans.

We must ensure that Indigenous veterans live with the dignity they deserve.

I had an energizing Sunday morning discussing progressive priorities during the @ccpamb.bsky.social Brunch. I was honoured to sit with the National Farmers Union and talk about their commitment to building relationships with workers, united in the need for democracy and just food systems.

It’s alarming hearing the Prime Minister talk about “sacrifices” in the budget when the Liberals have repeatedly sacrificed the safety of Indigenous women and girls.

Will the government finally put Indigenous women’s safety before corporate profits in this year’s budget?

Today I will be reintroducing my bill that aims to address residential school denialism.

We must uphold the dignity and safety of survivors, families and communities.

Did you know Canada is paying billions for climate inaction?

This is why the next NDP leader must have the courage to address the economic cost of the climate crisis. 1/6

The Liberals’ #BillC12 is just a repackaged version of the controversial #BillC2.

It violates the rights of migrant workers, refugees and asylum seekers, and undermines civil liberties. (1/2)
