MarcusRashford a great player and so much more. Given the chaotic Leadership and Management at MUFC over the ladt decade I think he's done well.
Hope he shares more great moments at Man Utd (in a calm, supportive and focused environment) and continues to support those in need

Labour going further on the winding back of academy freedoms than expected by tackling pay too - interested to see how/if that relates to CEO pay

Ending the automatic academisation of failing schools seems quite symbolic

Ballpark flat tax numbers: a fiscally neutral income tax flat tax would be about 25% - i.e. 5% increase in basic rate, 15% cut in higher rate. So the average earner would pay about £1,200 more tax/year. Someone on £100k would pay £5k less. Someone on £200k, £30k less.

Super analysis from @samanthajbooth.bsky.social and @fftedudatalab.bsky.social - new inspections will give parents a more positive picture, as many schools had one or more better sub grades than their overall judgement

Will be difficult to distinguish for a parent between the old RI and Good now
Most schools rated ‘requires improvement’ last year had multiple ‘good’ or better sub-grades, suggesting parents will see a more positive picture of their child’s school now headline grades are gone
Ofsted reports seem more positive without headline grades
Three in five schools rated ‘requires improvement’ last year had two or more ‘good’ sub-grades
