Hey there Bluesky fam, it’s been a minute since I posted… I’ve spent some time settling into my new house. I should be posting more from now on… for now though. Please enjoy this photo of a vide a printed from makeworld for my partner😄

Good morning #3DPrinting community.

I have been using the Bambu Cool Plate Supertack this week and have been amazed as the adhesion the plate has generated to PLA. I am yet to test PETG.

Here I printed a screw-lock capsule to contain some personal belongings for my upcoming house move.

Look at what arrived in the mail today👀 looking forward to putting the Bambu Cool Plate Supertack to good use… but first it’s time to get to grips with my new ABS! #3DPrinting

So I printed some “tat” the other day…

Pretty cool tat if you ask me.

#3DPrinting update, I thought I’d share this filament respooler kit I printed from makerworld. I learnt a lot about printing stock profiles for mechanical parts here… I had a few failures and things that need re printing in a better way. But I got there in the end with this one!

3D printer update - made an underside storage unit and a sliding top for my AMS!

Just invested in a little something to run Linux on… currently running a dual drive (Windows/Linux) set up which is has its problems at the minute.

Seeing how the water’s fair on the Linux ecosystem (currently running Fedora) before fully commuting but I do like it so far.

Good morning followers,

Here is a slightly off-topic post - a photograph taken yesterday at Newcastle Emlyn, Wales (UK). Lovely day for a walk somewhere new.

I haven’t posted in a minute as it’s a rough week but I thought I’d share a 3D print I have made today!

I printed an engagement photo of me and my partner to surprise her on our upcoming weekend vacation.

I made this using the Hueforge app and printed in Bambu PLA basic white, beige & black.

Decided to make some branding this evening and see how my new logo would look printed out - pretty stoked with how this one turned out.

Chat, is it too early to post Christmas content? #3DPrinting

I had never even thought about printing wall art using my printer before. This came out exceptionally well!

In other news, I got round to a long overdue serviceability repair in my car. I printed this bracket (remix now up on my MakerWorld page as no previous file existed - makerworld.com/models/734413). It works an absolute charm!

Good morning #3DPrinting fans! I made my partners computer mouse a new friend… I printed both in Bambu Basic PLA and sanded the beige one down for personal preference.

Good morning #makers!

I just made the Bambu MakerLabs wireless mouse (link below) for my partner. I used Bambu Labs Pink PLA.

This is the second kit I’ve used and again it’s very well put together and refined. I’m looking forward to making my own mouse!

Uploading my first timelapse from my #BambuLabs P1S. It is a neat little tool that hangs a small dremel attachment to help clean the nozzle!

I think this is especially when working between different materials.

In other news, I just printed a poop chute, I ran out of green that Bambu sent so I loaded in my old green filament and it worked a charm!
October 24, 2024 at 7:58 PM
Just got this from bambu as a separate parcel from the P1S. Has anyone else received similar from the sale? I ordered two of these separately in another order — I ordered two spools, the mouse kit and some filament. Assuming my other stuff is on the way…
October 24, 2024 at 6:05 PM
And… presto! My first print/project on the P1S, a build-plate “scraper” (more like a plate ejector - I don’t fancy scraping the PEI coating!). Super impressed with the quality. I simply can’t believe it.

Onto the next.

Finally I loaded some filament into the AMS. Very simple to do, simply press down on the toggle and feed it in and it does the rest! I’ve started my first print.. can you guess what it might be?
October 23, 2024 at 7:18 PM
I then needed to install the screen and plug the printer into the mains. This was a very easy set up of the hardware. I then proceeded to download the Bambu Handy App to pair my printer to my account / WiFi and then proceeded to run the calibration test.
October 23, 2024 at 5:34 PM
The next job required me to hook up the AMS power and PTFE tube to the printer.
October 23, 2024 at 5:33 PM
The first part required me to remove the AMS holding bracket from the printer (and the AMS). Hopefully I can find a use for this but it has done a great job of protecting the AMS in transit.
October 23, 2024 at 5:32 PM
The printer itself contained all of the parts. I’m a huge fan of the compact packaging! It included the AMS and tools required to build the remainder of the printer.
