I’m sitting in a pub in Greenwich and can’t help overhearing a table of 2 couples who have clearly booked a cruise together, and the quote of the day is ‘well compared to what you would have paid to get on the Titanic it’s quite cheap’. Not sure I’d want to pursue that comparison!

Ooh-err matron!

I truly love the thought that sometimes goes into the naming of canal boats with frequent nods to a bit of mild rudeness. I spotted this one in New Islington Marina in Manchester in October

There seems to be a big acceleration in the number of people joining here from Twitter at the moment. I’ll keep using that site for a bit longer, and follow on here as many familiar accounts as I can identify. But maybe I’ll start posting here a wee bit more.

Nice healthy salmon dinner last night. Could maybe have done with even more Lurpak though 🤤 😂

The NZ Pinot Grigio was lovely too 🇳🇿

In Glasgow for a couple of days and tonight I’m meeting up with lovely friends to eat our body weight in Chinese food at Sichuan House on Sauchiehall St. Haven’t been there since pre-pandemic, and very much looking forward to it.

In the same way I’ve already done on Mastodon and Threads, I’m now having a bit of a look at this in advance of Twitter finally imploding, but so far I’ve only found a few accounts to follow, largely ones I already follow over there. Early days.
