My mom used gardening to teach me that there was a special communion that plants gave me every day. On the farm, that was important because there weren't enough kids around to even try to be cool. I still garden today, even though I've in in LA for 25 years now.

David, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what your mom would be doing if she were still around. I wonder if she could have even believed this dystopia.
