One of the most important figures in Arsenal history. George Graham doesn’t get the recognition he deserves from younger fans, but he shaped the entire foundation of what this club became. A classy player, a leader, and later the manager who rebuilt Arsenal into a real force.

Under Arteta, Arsenal have controlled recent meetings. The old Chelsea mental block is gone — replaced by a disciplined, confident side built for big games. A win wouldn’t be an upset. It’d be a continuation of what this era already proves: North London is red.

The numbers tell the story:
Arsenal concede just 0.8 goals per match and rank top 3 in Europe for xG difference. Fewest big chances allowed. Rice is elite, Saliba is world-class, and Saka/Martinelli drive the attack. Chelsea concede nearly double the xG and collapse under pressure.

Arsenal vs Chelsea isn’t just another derby — it’s a clear picture of where both clubs are heading. Arsenal come in with one of the best defenses in Europe, a stable midfield, and a real identity. Chelsea have talent, but the inconsistency and shaky structure still show every week.

That 4–0 feels a long time ago. Newcastle have won five straight at home, and City have shown some vulnerability on the road, making this one a far tighter and more tactical matchup than the reverse fixture.

Here is last year’s match ⬇️

Bears 24–Giants 20: Chicago erased a 20-10 fourth-quarter deficit at snowy Soldier Field. QB Caleb Williams (20/36, 220 yds, 1 TD) hit Rome Odunze (6-86-TD) for a score, then sprinted 17 yds for the game-winner w/ 1:47 left.

But defensively? That’s where we lost control. Sunderland only had 6 shots and 0.44 xG, yet still scored twice. We had more passes (525 to 284) and still couldn’t kill the game off. Way too open between the lines.

Post-Match Take:
Arsenal 2–2 Sunderland.

Offensively, we did enough to win. 65% possession, 17 shots, and 2.09 xG show the attack created plenty — even without Viktor Gyökeres leading the line. Saka (8.3) and Trossard both delivered.

Wow I have no words for this Sunderland Goal. Can’t believe we let it slip like this.
