The BBC needs to urgently review its board structure as to its ability to respond to an existential threat. There are multiple credible reports that board members involved in its response aren’t on-side. There are allegations some leaked. And the response has been slow and disjointed throughout.

White Lightning (1993-2010): A hard "white cider"--a colorless cider made with apple pulp and corn syrup--sold primarily in the UK. It was noted for its low price and for being sold in 3-liter bottles. D/c in response to a national panic over teen drinking, it became synonymous with "social decay"

I have published my first real Substack. It is about why Britain doesn't need a trade deal with the US and why the low-quality debate on the matter only serves one Nigel Farage

I agree - the challenge comes with administrating within creator led small units. To maximise value for your audience, everyone will need to do more than just eg write
Unironically think we're going to see a bunch of Substack bundles/collectives in the next year or so – bcos people won't just keep paying £5/$5 a month each for 5+ individual writers. But maybe unlike the first wave of digital media they'll be small, writer-led, and not trying to make VC megabucks
just totted up all the substacks I pay for and found myself thinking ‘wow wouldn’t it be better if all these writers were in one place and I could just pay a flat fee’ so anyway that’s how today I invented the concept of the ‘newspaper’
