During a recent workshop, @kate-finley.bsky.social discussed a forthcoming article exploring second look sentencing laws. She argues that, when judges rely too heavily on “prison evidence” to assess rehabilitation, they risk reinforcing the very assumptions these laws were meant to challenge.
