This fab black and white mosaic is at the entrance to the House of Marcus Caesius Blandus. I love how its marine theme - with its dolphins, hippocampus, trident and rudder- and the crenellated city wall at the top, hint at life in #Pompeii overlooking the Bay of Naples 😍 #archaeology #MosaicMonday

Trier motto beakers are frequently decorated with toasts to life and wine.
