I am exhausted by the folks who “need” to prove to me that my experience of audiobooks is inauthentic as reading. It is the way I have access to books and in my own experience it closely mirrors reading text, EXCEPT IT IS NOT PAINFUL. Access to books is access to so much. Quit policing my reading.

Hey crazy lady update: doing a repeat 2 day 700 mile roundtrip roadtrip - Berlin at Court Theatre in Chicago, then seeing Sinners in Indianapolis on 70mm IMAX, then 4.5 hours home.
Art that moves me to tears is my jam! Also hoping weather allows a walk along the canal and lunch before the film.

Hey y’all. The good news is that my pain is manageable today, I put a beautiful bouquet together yesterday as a gift to myself, and I am living, breathing, and doing another day. My brain is struggling with staying on that path. But if only by spite, I will keep on keeping on.

Bluesky has been an enjoyable experience so far, my hands down favorite part is actually interacting with authors whose work inspires, amazes, and uplifts.
