One of hidden costs of #Afghanistan war was the need to constantly buy off every nation whose airspace was needed to resupply US troops: The more troops deployed to Afghanistan, the more logistical hostages.

US aid to Pakistan totaled 10s of billions of dollars.
I helped authorize much of it.

What’s more astonishing: 1) that the president clearly believes, and repeatedly suggests, that asylum seekers are people from mental asylums, or 2) that no journalist has ever challenged him on this and no mainstream media outlets have done any deep dives on this story?

Alex Acosta cut Epstein the sweetheart deal of the century...let a predator walk...silenced victims...and called it “justice.” That stain never fades. His name belongs in every conversation about corruption...cover-ups...and the powerful shielding the powerful.

Elizabeth Warren went to CNBC today and destroyed Donald Trump on the economy. Trump is trying to bury this appearance with a tantrum on his failing media site.

Make sure this goes viral instead.

So am I reading this court decision correctly? We now have 50 micronations with their own laws interpreting the U.S. Constitution wholly separate from one another? But there's one guy with private law enforcement who is immune from all punishment who can do whatever he wants in those 50 states?

Saying there are “too many non-working holidays” on Juneteenth is so on brand for a man who is actively trying to erase Black history.

This from the same man who’s wasted over $26 million in taxpayer dollars and spent more than 30 days golfing since January 20, 2025? Please.

It's tempting to laugh at Kristi Noem’s humiliating ignorance about the meaning of habeas corpus, but this isn’t just some embarrassing gaffe.

Given the scope of her powers, her cluelessness matters.

(And in a healthier environment, Noem would be forced to resign in embarrassment right about now.)
Kristi Noem flunks an important test on the basic meaning of habeas corpus
The homeland security secretary was asked to define habeas corpus. Her outrageously wrong answer was humiliating — but it was also important.

Unbelievable. With Dem support, the senate passes an industry-friendly crypto bill that does nothing about Trump's crypto corruption.

Ignore these Dems' speeches. Watch their votes. They're telling you they don't get it. And then they spam you to say Trump is bad so please donate more money.
Update: I'm hearing the senate vote on this stupid crypto bill could come tonight.

This week should be about the despicable GOP reconciliation bill. The few Dems on this crypto bill aren't just wrong on policy, they're fracturing the party at a time we should be unified against GOP corruption.
Bad news. Word is the crypto bill is coming back. Some senate Dems - Warner, Gallego, & Gillibrand among others - are teaming up with the GOP to overcome the filibuster. Here's Gallego last week saying they won't try to stop Trump's crypto bribes because Republicans oppose that provision. Pathetic.

Now, he’s trying to blame those systems for Newark airport’s outages – while claiming DOGE’s cuts of critical support staff at the FAA had nothing to do with it.
