I got to celebrate my silly little dysentery joke with @rtdna.bsky.social

This project meant so much to me. And I'm so grateful to everyone who helped make it real — advocates who did play testing, reporters who jumped on stories and editors who said, "let's do it."

The chaos returns for a three-peat!!

We've got big issues, fun facts and a love letter to the complicated stew of small town Pride celebrations.

I've seen a lot of baseball at Victory Field the last three weeks.

So much so, that the beer guy next to my usual section and I are on a first name basis.

🎶They say it's your birthday!🎶

2025 has been a weird year. But my birthday has been a delightful bright spot — especially going to three games at Victory Field. 💜

In a rare New Year's resolution, I promised myself that I would say yes to more things with my friends.

Today's adventure: Seeing the Scissor Sisters and Kesha in concert.

Shedding tears to "This Place About To Blow" wasn't on the bingo card. But it's 2008 and we're partying.

It's me!

This was truly so much fun to do. I love "This News Is So Gay" and being a panelist (and the unofficial Sportsball reporter) was an absolute delight.

Go listen! I accidentally wrote an "it's complicated" love letter to Indiana in the middle of the podcast.

Being a reasonably devout Catholic prepared me for a number of things.

Receiving genuine, heartfelt praise for my last decade of work was not one of them.

(Because humor is the only coping mechanism available to me at the moment)

Damn. The worst bit is that I haven't updated my portfolio site since 2019.

And 16 days later, I was informed that the @ipbnews.bsky.social team (including myself) would be laid off at the end of this year.

It's heartbreaking. But there's still a lot to be proud of.

I'm going to have some self-indulgent grieving and then get to the business of figuring out what's next.
It's impossible to imagine: But 10 years ago ON THIS VERY DAY, I started my full-time journalism career.

I wish I could tell that fresh-faced 22-year-old half of the things we would do. I think she'd be pretty proud 💜

What happens when someone asks the @ipbnews.bsky.social text group a question that I also wanted to know?

I write a big ol' web story and make everyone else learn.

Those deadlines? They're coming.

The official deadline is bills must be heard on third reading on *Thursday, Feb. 20*. (source: iga.in.gov/session/2025...)

The odds of bills that haven't been heard in committee are looking pretty slim.
