Brilliant, Jason. In the past few weeks, the cooperative I work with/for has been setting priorities for the next one-to-two years. From one to ten, compensation was number seven.

We love what we do. We’ll never earn as much as we would in the capitalist market, and the joy outweighs the money.

Not sure I’d fancy the DIY version of that amenity.

Yikes. Until I saw the announcement, I was just going to remind you to wear your compression socks.

Wishing you an uneventful journey.

Is there a legacy/tradition/residual family lore related to that?

Whoa. Fated.

The photo looks like times long past. But, uh, I was alive then. Really?

Wait. *Both* your grandfathers had gas stations?
November 5, 2025 at 6:59 PM
😂 Yes, you are. And we’re showing our age.

We both!

They never tell the author anything…except when they need you for publicity! And I imagine you’ve told them that’s not on the cards. Be well, mate, and hope to see you soon.

Happy birthday, Carlton! Eh, what were you going to do with that $10,000 anyway? Probably spend it on something frivolous, like heating the house this winter…

Thanks, Steve! And speaking of your earlier works, when is the film due out?

Thank you for posting this, my friend! Tim Minchin has been one of my guiding stars for a long time. His combination of satire and empathy speak to what it means to be human.

Oddly, your anthem about ideas so large most of us can’t even encompass them reminded me of It’s Not Perfect. Empathy, joy, and forgiveness for being human.

Well done on a mammoth task, nephew. 🎉
October 5, 2025 at 5:49 PM
And we loved spending it with you, Jose.

Wish I could be there to join in, buddy!
