Just started this Laura Kinsale last night. Historical romance is my comfort. And I ordered these other used books on Pango recently because I LOVE the covers—yes, I absolutely judge a book by its cover.

So I’m struggling even finding freelance and contract work. I have a recruiter who put in an application for me earlier this week so 🤞🏻 they at least want to interview me. My severance runs out in January and my husband is disabled and we wrecked my car in October. Y’all. I can’t take much more.

I have over 18 YOE with no past job hopping, a BA and an MA, have had a few interviews with state agencies who GHOSTED me after the interview and didn’t even have the decency to send me an email. I had a fed contractor job in my grasp—then the shutdown happened & they ended up cancelling position.
