Ylönen ja Nordström esittävät, miten EU:n digisääntelyyn vaikutetaan ja miten yhtiövalta haastaa digitaalisen suvereniteetin agendaa. 3/4

I hope my PhD will offer public benefit which is one focus of the UACES. Before crisis a multisided expertise structure has to be in place. In a crisis there is no time to gather new expertise.

Thus, my study was on technocracy. Indeed, a recipe for the stability is institutional expert ideas, esp. if these experts turn de facto into decision-makers. Accordingly, my analysis highlight more the power of institutions and the Commission in comparison to the other eurozone crisis research.

The reason for the non-change was linked to the constitution of expertise, the small circle of decision-making & hurry. It was due to the power of EC and IMF: they provided institutional knowledge that did not offer alternatives to the existing paradigm, and they became the decision-makers!

Interestingly, no detailed process tracing of 2010 decisions existed. Thus, I provide it based on 133 interviews on the first Greek loan and EFSF! I show how the Troika was created and what were its internal relations.

I wanted to understand why a crisis that shows the flaws of the existing system did not provoke a change in economic thinking, the ordoliberal paradigm. I identified year 2010 as the pivotal moment when the crisis management structure & the path towards the non-change of paradigm was created.

My PhD was on power of expertise and technocracy. I worked for 10 years in politics before returning to academia. I was amazed of the impact of lobbying and external ideas to politics which led me to study those in connection to the most impactful event on Europeans, the eurozone crisis.
