On this All Hallows Eve, the dogwood outside my window stands bare, and I’m thinking of many who have passed on, including a dear former colleague who died yesterday morning. Life is so vulnerable.

I don’t know how visible I actually am on this platform, but today is #BiVisibilityDay so here I am, visible, I guess. Claiming a bisexual identity feels complicated to me, so I keep it pretty quiet.

If the Trump administration wanted to oppose antisemitism, they could start with themselves. They are trivializing the concept of antisemitism, making it meaningless — and that is a terrible antisemitic action.

Currently in the Southern Hemisphere, for the first time I got to see what it’s like to have a summer birthday. Went on a very soggy hike to a viewpoint almost entirely obscured by clouds and mist (and with foggy glasses, so I couldn’t see much anyway). It was certainly an adventure!

Reminding myself to live the next four years in particular as though I believe Dr. King’s words are true, even though it feels today like we are a long, long way from justice at so many levels.
