Not often I get a chance to grab a physical copy of The Skinny but nice to see two titles I've typset recently (La Lucha and The Hajar Book of Rage) getting their deserved props. Unsurprisingly, it's a time for rage-fuelled non-ficition again (not that it ever stopped)

On my daily walk (when I'm on top of things which I am not right now) fully expecting to have 'my' lake swarmed with the fringe masses and yet, there is somehow peace and duck arses in the air as any day. All is as it should be.

In a similar way to Americans being amazed that they lose weight while on holiday in Europe, I'm amazed that getting my skinny-fat arse to do couch to 5k and 10k steps in the gym while on holiday is borderline *easy* compared to home. Is it being stress free? Is it daily alcohol? No one knows

This one shot just made my bloody day. Loved (and love) this book. Throwing it into The Last of Us is about as subtle as a sledgehammer but I LOVE IT

Make an ebook the same way I have done for years and get this via the most fussy, frustration ebook distributor I've ever used. I just really really really don't want to make ebooks anymore 😩

I need people who know Scottish publishing, in a pub, to discuss my current self-appointed pre-PhD reading with, as I can probably rant at my husband about it only so much.
I fear a predictable substack will be the way, but also fear that might get me in trouble on numerous fronts. 🫠
