Completely right, I personally disagree with AD, but if it is being offered, it should only be as a last resort where no amount of care or social support will help. It shouldn't be pushed onto patients out of "kindness" or convenience.
Whatever your personal beliefs on Assisted Dying, we should all be able to agree on 2 fundamentals:

No means no. If a patient doesn’t want it, end of discussion.

It should never be offered in lieu of care or social supports.

If it is, it’s not compassion.

It’s eugenics 🧵

Ben Woollaston (he of the many double letters and surname that I absolutely CANNOT spell) leading Mark Selby 2-1, and looking very good in the process, three good breaks between them so far (100 from Selby, 84 and 76 from Tatiana's husband)

Wu Yize joins the (probably) exclusive club of players to have scored over 1000 points in a Best of 19 and still lost the match
April 20, 2025 at 5:37 PM
If Wu Yize was playing anything like he did against Matthew Stevens in the qualifiers, he would have won this match by now

I'm hiding over here for the time being because Snooker Twitter has pretty much gone into full meltdown 😁

Right, as it turns out, I've been forgetting to update my list of Pokemon I've completed Purity Forest with on Rescue Team DX, so expect a few of these coming up now, starting with...

In other snooker news, the WSF Junior Championship has reached its finale. Either Kaylan Patel, the 16 year old from Leicester in England or Leone Crowley, the 18 year old from Cork in the Republic of Ireland will reign triumphant and become a professional player from the 2025/26 season

Championship League Group 6 Day 1:

It's been a dream start for Joe O'Connor, the beaten Semi-Finalist in two groups has conceded 1 frame in 4 matches, and was a ball away from a 147. Trump lost to Gilbert but has 3 other wins, while Jak Jones has only one win but another 3 tons.
January 22, 2025 at 8:28 PM
Championship League Group 5:

World #1 Judd Trump had a near perfect opening day, dropping 3 frames in 4 wins. Joe O'Connor and Jak Jones have made a solid starter (the latter making 2 more centuries to move one away from the tournament record), and the other four have a win apiece. Close group this

Championship League Group 4

Jak Jones is through to a 4th successive group final. After defeats to Vafaei, Si and K. Wilson, it's the trivial matter of facing Mark Selby. Incidentally, Jak now has 20 centuries in this year's CL, three off the all time WST tournament record

Championship League Group 4 Semi-Finals:

(1) Stuart Bingham vs. (4) Jak Jones. Group H2H: Bingham 0-3 Jones
(2) Joe O'Connor vs. (3) Mark Selby. Group H2H: O'Connor 3-2 Selby

Championship League Group 4 Update:

After Day 1, Joe O'Connor leads with four wins from four, almost securing his Group Semi place. Stuart Bingham has 3/3, and Mark Selby has 2/3. Selt, Jones and J. Robertson have a win apiece, but Jackson Page trails, no wins and only 3 frames won in 4 matches
January 10, 2025 at 11:48 PM
Championship League Group 4

3 out of 3 for the JOC, as Joe O'Connor joins Stuart Bingham on a trio of wins, coming from 2-0 down and 42-0 down in the decider to beat Mark Selby 3-2. Meanwhile, Jak Jones playing his 24th match in a week is 2-0 up on a wasteful Bad Loser... I mean Matt Selt
January 10, 2025 at 8:16 PM
Kyren Wilson beats Jak Jones 3-2 to book the 3rd spot in the Winners Group, Jak losing in the Group Final AGAIN, and will go into Group 4 tomorrow and Saturday, hoping to add to his 12 centuries in this year's Championship League
January 9, 2025 at 10:05 PM
This is going well, Jak's apparently been struggling with a neck injury, and Kyren thinks he's had an allergic reaction to the cloth on the tables. When I heard that this event was survival of the fittest, I didn't know it was literal!
January 9, 2025 at 7:34 PM
And Jak Jones has done the unthinkable based on how the group has gone, beating Mark Selby 3-1 to reach the Group final AGAIN. Will it be 3rd time lucky, this time in a repeat of the World Final against Kyren Wilson
January 9, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Ali Carter has equalised against Kyren Wilson, edging the second frame 61-50. Meanwhile, in a turnaround that would make Lazarus blush, Jak Jones is 2-0 over Mark Selby, the first time in the entire group that Selby has been more than a frame behind
January 9, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Jak Jones is a frame up on Mark Selby, much to the surprise of anybody who's seen either of them play today, 49 and 84 breaks from the man from Cwmbran. Meanwhile Kyren Wilson with a 67 run to take the opener against Ali Carter
January 9, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Apparently if you're Mark Selby, Snooker is rather easy. Breaks of 134, 91 and 88 in a 3-0 demolition of Chris Wakelin, which ensures that Wakelin will finish 5th in the group, and Mark Selby 1st with 6 wins from 6 (including over Ronnie who has since thrown his cue in the bin).
January 9, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Championship League Group 3 Update

Jak Jones has just edged to a 3-2 win over Robert Milkins, which eliminates the Milkman, as that was his last match, and he can no longer match the eight frames won by Chris Wakelin. Selby and Wilson are through to the Group Semis with a match to spare
January 9, 2025 at 3:10 PM
Please just get one more frame Jak
January 9, 2025 at 2:35 PM
Championship League Group 3 update:

With Ronnie O'Sullivan throwing his toys out of the pram (or into the bin), we're down to six. His results are all deleted, meaning that Milkins and Wakelin are now on one win each alongside Jones. Milkins vs. Jones this afternoon could decide who finishes last
January 9, 2025 at 1:45 PM
Well that's Worst Match of the Year sorted. Rob Milkins beats Ronnie O'Sullivan 3-2 in a decider where Milkins missed an easy red to the corner and managed to cover the entire right side of the table to go in-off from the black, while Ronnie missed an easy blue, went in-off an easy blue (1/2)

Championship League Group 3:

After Day 1, defending champion Mark Selby is in a commanding position, as six centuries have seen him win all four of his matches. Wilson, Carter and Wakelin all have two wins, but a defeat to Selby apiece sees them separated only on frames won and lost. (1/2)
