Not buying that at all. It's not coincidence that the 8 votes came from senators not facing election. They didn't go rogue, they did what leadership wanted done.

Government also funded the research that created virtually every bit of the technology used to create those fortunes, created and maintained the secure and trusted financial system that allowed them to raise capital, the legal system that protects them, educated their workforce and customers, etc.

Nah, I think she understands her party. Cruelty and viciousness tied to Christian faith is about as good as it gets on the R side.

She must have Presidential ambitions.

I'm not sure what right wing legislators have to do with a court settlement.

Should college athletes be employees and have a union? That solves some problems, but creates others.

They should be paid, but the current system is not sustainable. If the House settlement holds up, that seems like a reasonable approach.

Coaches have buyout clauses written into their contracts. Maybe eventually players will have the same. No pro league has free agency every year for every player.

Good to see UIUC on there today.

Disappointing to see most every public university in Illinois on the list except the flagship UIUC.

That opinion piece is a stream of complete bullshit. The hyper-competent Trump who won't tolerate disappointing performance from his chosen subordinates, the forceful Hegseth betrayed by the bad advice of his staff after an unfortunate mistake. Bullshit.

Well, that sucks. Still going to be a pretty good class, though.

I believe they are, especially this guy, who apparently thinks diseases kill off the weak and leave the world better off.

A defense secretary who thinks that the timing and targets of an attack, and the weapon systems to be used should not be classified is either a moron or a traitor. Or possibly falling down drunk at the time.

A handful of Republicans in each chamber of Congress could end this right now. That virtually every one of them is some repulsive combination of fascist, corrupt and/or cowardly is remarkable.
March 17, 2025 at 11:30 AM
So how many of other people's rights are you willing to trade away, for how many votes?
March 12, 2025 at 12:16 PM
Find a way to defend the lane a little we might win this.
March 8, 2025 at 2:02 AM
I don't live in your district, but I will happily donate to your primary opponent. You are completely failing to meet this moment.
March 6, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Roberts' legacy will be presiding over the most corrupt court in our history and opening the door to fascism in this country. And I think he's proud of that.
March 5, 2025 at 1:38 PM
My Trump supporting farmer brothers-in-law are going to think that's just loads of fun. And corn futures prices are loving it. /s
March 3, 2025 at 7:28 PM
Not all cowards. Some in the House are fascists who agree with all this. In the Senate you have Tuberville, who is too stupid to understand what's happening. But yes, the rest are abject sniveling cowards betraying their country because of their cowardice.

I assume most of that ad spending will be on Truth Social and Xitter. Reach the kids where they are.

You could also just use DuckDuckGo

Get everybody healthy, this team can beat anyone. Great to see KJ back on track.

Given that a quote from one of her earlier works is "Hitler is a very great man" I think I'll pass

It will always be Iowa, but MSU the most hated relevant team.
