Last night at supper we were joking around and somehow came up with the story idea of an empathic serial killer. Like, they can't stop themselves from doing the thing but they feel everything--all the hurt they are causing by doing the thing--and are fully aware of the consequences.

My current D&D character is a gnomish artificer named Mouse who grew up in NYC (homebrew) but now lives in Faerun. He liked comics growing up.

Partial alopecia is weird. I have silky smooth calves, a bunny tail, the odd toonie-sized bald spot on my head which hangs out for a few years, etc.
And yet my ears have gone full-on WELCOME TO YOUR 50s and nope. No silky smooth or even random patchiness there. Just unnecessary ear fur.

Random question for the Finnish speakers: a while back I posted the sentence "Helpoasti sannottu; vaikeamampi uskottu."
I wonder if a Finn would put it that way. I feel that maybe something like "Helpoa sanoa; vaikea uskoa" would sound less foreign.

Can we talk about how much cognitive accessibility matters in mobile apps?
If an app isn’t simple to log into or start using or hits me with too many popups right away, I just delete it. Every time.

Adding that burnout is sneaky - you have to pay attention to the early signs. After you already are burnt out, it’s not enough that you take a week or two off and sleep a little more. It can take literally years to bounce back.
If you’re feeling off, talk to someone.

Had a chat with a friend who is clearly burnt out but still at work.
The problem is that if you wait too long to seek help and take care of yourself your rope can just end up snapping suddenly. It’s a very long road to recovery after this.
